A Thing Beyond Forever - BOOK REVIEW

It's been long I have written something on this blog.. Today I am here to write a review on a wonderful book which i read recently, "A Thing Beyond Forever " by Novoneel Chakraborty.This is a love story, not just a love story but a powerful one which is mixed up with lots of emotions and suspense which will make the reader glued to the book till the end.

The protogonist of the story is Dr Radhika Sharma, 29 years old with a spotless smooth brown complexion, cute nose and glossy lips. Her attire was unsociable, cotton shirts,pants or jeans were her dress code. She is the best doctor among the young doctors and labeled as an arrogant feminist. She was arrogantt because she never gave any male a chance to even propose a date, and spoke her mind out. She prefers reading in her free time instead of gossping. Reading the diary of her childhood friend(lover),Raen Verma, the diary which was written long thirteen years back when he was a teenager. Raen Verma, the younger son of his parents, who was staying in Kolkata from childhood. His father gets a transfer which makes him to shift to Guhawati which made him upset. He started to share his agony and memories with his diary friend. When Radhika starts reading the diary, readers are taken back to the childhood days of Raen and Radhika through Raen's words and her memories.

The author has well narrtaed the story of Radhika and Raen through a diary and that itself is the uniqueness of this book. The story revolves on Radhika's past life when she met Raen, her teenage love and present life, as a doctor when she met a 9 year old child Laye. The blend of past and present is well narrated.

In the prologue I was uncomfortable with the words that was used for the intimacy of  a boy and a girl. But after reading few chapters I was reading the full book at a stretch. I love the way author has used very catching words in between which will strike the readers. The writing style of the author will ease the readers to understand or feel the real essence of the story. It's well written in a flow which will not confuse the readers.

Destiny and Time had changed Radhika's life but none changed her Love. If someone had given her a choice between living her present life and living in the past life when she first fell in love, Radhika would prefer the latter. Such was her madness for the only true magic of life.

I would highly recommend this book. If you are bored of reading usual love stories this would be something deferent as the title itself says "A Thing Beyond Forever."
